HEAD CLEANERS
You just have to clean those heads!
Tapes are physical formats and are played in machines that have
wheels, springs, pulleys and electro magnetic voltage buzzing through them.
It's inevitable that oxide dust should be shed on the tape heads, capstans
and pinch roller. There are lots of gimmicks for cleaning but a good
cleaning with a cotton bud with a little tape cleaning fluid on it do
the trick better than most tapes ever will. A regular head cleaning
will save your tapes and prevent distorted sound.
